Training Programme on INM
(Integrated Nuttrient Management) was organized on 13th May, 2011.
In this programme Scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Dr. O.P. Mehla guided the
farmers about the use and benefits of Laser leveling, Sprinkler jet, Drip
System, Spray Pump. He also motivated the farmers about the growth of
Mushrooms. Dr. Narinder Goel Scientist told farmers about the benefits of Soil
Testing and asked them to get their every acre of soil tested. About 50-60
samples of the soil will be tested in KVK, Damla. He also practically
demonstrated the methodology of taking soil samples. Dr. Ranbir Singh Taya conveyed the benefits
of bio-pesticides, which pesticides should be used to save the particular
crops. Mr. Sanjay Chona AGM NABARD
thanked the doctors and the people of the village for their support &
Co-operation. Mr. Ajinder Pal Singh, Chairman of GHES Welcomed the farmers for
their support and willingness to attend such programmes. About 50 farmers
attended the programmme.

(Integrated Weed Management):
Training Programme on INM
(Integrated Nuttrient Management) & IWM (Integrated Weed Management)was organized on 22nd June, 2011. In
this programme Scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Dr. Narinder Goel Scientist
told the farmers about the use of insecticides, urea, potash, Zinc, Zypsum etc.
He also guided the farmers how to protect the crop from diseases and how to get
good yield. 25 samples of the soil were submitted to KVK, Damla for
testing. Dr. Sandeep Arya guided the
farmers about the growth of different kinds of plants to generate more

SEMINAR ON THE
EMERGING OPPORTUNITIES IN INDUSTRIES
GHES organized a seminar in GURU NANAK
KHALSA COLLEGE
on emerging opportunities in Industry for the Youth . Mr. Subodh Jaiswal ,
Chief Manager NSIC was the main speaker who motivated the students to opt the
vocational courses along with the regular studies and get benefited from the
large oprings in the Industry . S. Ajinder pal singh chairman GHES also
motivated the students to good the oprings in the Industry . Mr.Sanjay Arora
Training & Placement offer of the college managed the style. Mr. Ajinder
Pal Singh &Mr. Subodh Jaiswal presented a moment to the college principal Dr.
Varinder Kaur at the end of the program.
Candle Making Competition:
To enhance the confidence of the
youth, Candle Making Competition was organized on 25th October,
2011. 20 Students participated in this competition & show their creativity
by making the most beautiful candles. Ms. Mamta Sharma got the second prize and
Mrs. Rita got the first prize. Prizes were distributed to the winners by
S.Ajinder Pal Singh Chairman of the Society.
Rangoli Decoration
Competition:
To Mark the festival of Lights, A Rangoli
competition was held in the campus . Students from all streams Fashion
Designing, Computer, Spoken English & IELTS participated in this
competition. They made the beautiful design in Rangoli. Ms. Preeti from fashion
designing got the first prize and Ms.
Arti got the second prize. Chairman S. Ajinder Pal Singh & Director Gurmeet
Kaur distributed the prizes to the winners.
