Exposure Visit of the Farmers:
Nine farmers of the village
visited Krishi Darshan Expo which was held from 5 to 6th October,
2012 at TIC, Hissar on 6th October, 2012. This Expo was organized in
Collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India. Companies from all
over India dealing in variety of advanced equipments used for cultivation
displayed their items and their demonstration in the Expo. A large number of
companies displaying variety of seeds
and insecticides/pesticides were also present. Farmers viewed the live
demonstration of various automatic ploughing and harvesting machines, they also
had first hand information for usage of various other equipments for spraying
pesticides etc. farmers also had conversation with various dealers of Seeds and
had information of various varieties of new seeds available in the market.
Veterinary Checkup Camp:
Veterinary check up camp was inaugurated by S.Ajinder Pal Singh Charman of
Guru Harkrishan Educational Society. In this camp Team
of Specialised Doctors of Animal Husbandry & Dairy Dr. Sameer Dewan along
with their Team visited the village & checked up about 140 cattles. Dr. Dewan
taught the villagers about the prevention of the cattle’s form various
diseases. Mineral Powder for cattles was distributed freely among the
villagers, cattles were given medicines
for the stomach insects, 15 cattles were given Harmone for the fertility,
cattles were also given medicines for other diseases. GHES Chairman S. Ajinder Pal Singh thanks the
doctors and their department on this occasion. Mr. Rajesh Saini AGM NABARD
thanked the doctors and the people of the village for their support &
Co-operation.
Training Programme on INM (Integrated Nutrient Management)+ IWM
(Integrated Weeds managemet)
Training Programme on INM
(Integrated Nutrient Management)+ IWM (Integrated Weeds managemet) which was organised on 13th July
due to non availability of KVK Scientists as they were busy. In this programme Dr.
R.S. Taya Sr. scientist K.V.K. Damla guided the farmers about the usage of
medicine to protect their crop from weeds and insects. He advised the farmers
to spray the medicines in time as soon as they see the symptoms, delayed spray
will not protect the crops. He also said that dose of medicine should be
complete as suggested because less medicine can harm the crops as insects which
are at the particular area in the field may spread all over the field and harm
the crops much more. He also gave the information regarding use of different
medicines for different problems of the crops as discussed with the farmers. As
asked by the farmers he guided them how and when to use the medicine and in how
much quantity ant the method of usage of medicines.
Dr. N.K.Goel, Co-ordinator K.V.K. Damla discussed with the farmers how they were
implemented their suggestions in the fields as they have guided in the prior
visit. He discussed with individual farmers how much and when they DAT, Potash, Zinc and Urea
available good staff and provide good facilities and provide free govt. courses
