Training Programme on Crop Diversification:

Training Programme on Crop Diversification (Sugarcain + Wheat + Garlic/Intercroping) was organized on 21^st Oct, 2011. In this programme Scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Dr. Narinder Goel Senior coordinator told the farmers about the Itercroping of different crops, which crops can be intercropped and what are the benefits of the intercropping etc. Dr. R. S. Taya guided the farmers about the precautions to be taken while we will provided  dokla recepy intercropping, what type of pesticides and insecticides should be used and what safety precautions should be taken while using insecticides and pesticides. Mrs. Prem Lata guided the villagers about  Good health and Balanced Diet Mr. Sanjay Chona AGM NABARD thanked the doctors and the people of the village for their support & Co-operation. Mr. Ajinder Pal Singh, Chairman of GHES Welcomed the farmers for their support and willingness to attend such programmes. About 60 farmers attended the programme. All the farmers were given Safety kits to be used during the use of Insectisides & Pesticides.

Vetenary Checkup Camp: 

Vetenary check up camp was organized on 27^th August, 2011 camp was inaugurated by S.Ajinder Pal Singh Charman of Guru Harkrishan Educational Society. In this camp Team of Specialised Doctors of Animal Husbandry & Dairy Dr. Sameer Dewan and Dr. Sameer Tomar along with their Team visited the village & checked up about 242 cattles. Dr. Tomar taught the villagers about the prevention of the cattle’s form various diseases. Mineral Powder for 150 cattles was distributed freely among the villagers, 60 cattles were given medicines for the stomach insects, 22 cattles were given Harmone for the fertility (first time in the area), 10 cattles were given medicines for other diseases. All the cattles of the village were given injections for Gal Ghotu disease.  GHES Chairman S. Ajinder Pal Singh thanks the doctors and their departmenton this occasion. Mr. Sanjay Chona AGM NABARD thanked the doctors and the people of the village for their support & Co-operation.

 

No Tobacco Day:

Guru Harkrishan Educational Society celebrated 31^st May as No Tobaccos Day. In this regard Seminar was organized in which several youths participated in it. S. Ajinder Pal Singh chairman of the Society aware the students about the harmful effects and diseases caused by the use of Tobaccos. While the Gurmeet  kaur , Director Guru Harkrishan Vocational Institute showed the various video chips motivating students to shun drugs and tobaccos. Students along with the Society members also organized a small rally telling the people to shun drugs.

Kisan Loan Mela:

Kisan Loan Mela was organized at village Rajpura in association with Punjab National Bank . In this program Mr.V.k Julpa , Lead Bank Manager of PNB Mr.L.k Vohra  Director –RSETI, PNB Branch Manager Mustfabad distributes Kisan Cards to 15 farmers and loan to the villages. S.Ajinder Pal Singh chairman GHES , thanked the officers of PNB for their co-operation & good services . Mr. Sanjay Chonna DDM NABARD appreciated the services of GHES for successfully organizing such kind of programmes.
